Why Suze Orman is NOT My Financial Planner

Recently I was asked to comment on Suze Ormans most recent comments about paying the minimums on all your credit cards and saving the rest.

I’ll be putting a more formal response over at MyCreditGroup’s credit repair site, but since this is my blog, I’m going to tell you what I really think.

The advice is absurd. If try really hard I can almost make some sort of sense out of it, but I prefer to stick with the easy answer – I think she’s an idiot!

The debt will accrue more damage than the savings will good. I ran the numbers every way I could think of and it didn’t make sense under any circumstance. After reading it I couldn’t think of anything but how grateful I am that she’s not my financial advisor.
